Chemical Research Engineer
We are looking for Chemical Research Engineers who aspire to develop within one of the most important and successful companies in the chemical industry in Romania - Chemical Company, located in Iași. Job Requirements
  • University degree in Chemistry
  • Over 5 years of experience in Research and Development, Chemistry/Biochemistry
  • Proficiency in English language (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Relevant exposure to financial accounting system (ERP)
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft Office, especially Project Management module (Gantt Chart)
  • Flexibility in thinking, ability to take responsibility
  • Perseverance and determination in achieving objectives
  • Initiative, adaptability, commitment to continuous improvement
Main Responsibilities
  • Participate in evaluating and accepting research projects
  • Collaborate on company project activities with colleagues from Quality Control, Pilot Production, and other involved departments
  • Continuously evolve expertise by assimilating updates in organic process chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, materials science, and industrial chemical engineering
  • Monitor real-time progress with the team towards set objectives and contribute to drafting monthly or periodic reports to partners, adhering to contract timelines
  • Continuously track project Gantt chart and provide written updates on the status of each involved project
  • Timely inform the management team about project execution issues and propose solutions
  • Properly archive project documentation
  • Prepare new projects with the team, leveraging existing company expertise and previous project results, and propose budgets for each project forwarded to the R&D Manager
  • Responsively address all requests from the R&D Manager or colleagues to fulfill duties according to job description

  • Secondary education in Chemistry
  • Production experience is an advantage.
  • Availability for shift work
  • Seriousness, responsibility, organization, and involvement
  • Responsibility towards the machinery and equipment they work with
  • Forklift operator certificate may be an advantage.
Main Responsibilities
  • Perform tasks according to procedures, standards, and work instructions.
  • Adhere to occupational safety rules.
  • Use installations, machinery, equipment, apparatus, and working tools according to the instructions for the use of hazardous substances.
